Seaside Heights is hosting a food enthusiast event that will both inform people of the many enjoyable restaurants in the seashore town and benefit an important Ocean County non-profit.
A Taste of Seaside Heights, Thursday, June 6, will be a tour of 10 restaurants allowing attendees to enjoy sampling a signature dish at each of the restaurants. Profits from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County. Tickets will be $35 per person and are available through Big Brothers Big Sisters at www.bbbsoc.org/events or 732-505-3400.
The 10 participating restaurants are Free Range, Genevieve’s, Hemingway’s, Hooks, Klee’s Bar and Grill, Ohana, Park Seafood, PJ’s Place, Santeria, and Spicy Cantina. So that people can give their full attention to enjoying the evening, participants will arrive at the Seaside Heights municipal parking lot at the Route 37/ Sumner Ave. entrance to town where they will park for free, check in, and catch free shuttle buses that will be running a circuit of the restaurants. Participants may arrive any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Participants in the tasting will be provided a passport that, when stamped at each of the 10 restaurants, serve as an entry in a drawing for one of two prize baskets. Many of the restaurants will also give each participant a coupon redeemable for savings on a later visit. There also will be representation by businesses throughout town at select restaurants.
